This link goes to the Garmin "MapShare" page of my tracks.  I use a two minute track point interval, but there may be delays posting the track points due to satellite communication intervals.  If you get an unreadable blob of multiple tracks, click the “View Recent Tracks” box in the upper right (you can toggle this back and forth).  If you want to send text messages direct to my Satellite Locator from this page, click on the message bubble icon in the left column, and type in your email/mobile phone and the message you want to send.  These messages are subject to delays due to satellite communication intervals.

Real-Time Glider Track Viewers:

These links may show Jim's flight track data from the Open Glider Network (OGN) project.  In general, drag and zoom to the general area where Jim is (you can find this general area by first looking at the Satellite Locator link above).  You will see all current gliders in the area.  Look for a glider icon labelled N223MP or J6.

https://www.gliderradar.com/?center=37.9442,-101.0083&zoom=5  Find the "Tail Length" pull down and set it to the maximum.

https://puretrack.io/?l=35.108951&g=-99.587219&z=3.5

You may have to click a "gliders and towplanes" button. A list of all gliders in the air in the USA will appear on the left.  Find J6 in the list, and click on it.  Zoom in on the location shown to see the track.  You may need to click on the J6 on the map to bring up the info boxes at the bottom.  You may need to click on the "three bars" to bring up an additional menu and then click "load earlier track data" to view the whole track (might bring up the previous day's track also).

First, click the Gear icon on the left to access settings: Choose desired units; set Show only gliders Yes; Show all aircraft tracks Yes; Track length Full.  Then drag and zoom map to general area where Jim is (you can find this general area by first looking at the Satellite Locator link above).  You will see all current glider tracks in the area.  Look for a yellow icon "J6".  Single Click on the “J6” icon to highlight Jim's current track real-time.  Or, find "J6" (or others) by clicking the Airplane icon on the left, this will show all registered aircraft flying in the shown map area, look for "J6" in the list, then click the Eye icon beside "J6" to highlight Jim’s current track real-time.  Once you have highlighted a track you will see an info box in the upper right.  Click on the Mountain icon to bring up an altitude chart at the bottom, showing altitude and terrain height.  You can slide the cursor along that to see the progress of the flight.  Also, you can click the Heart icon in the info box to put that tracker in the favorites list, accessible later by clicking the Heart icon on the left.  Note that you will have to move the map to the general area to see the track if it is currently out of the map window area.

Type N223MP into the search box at the upper left, click N223MP just below that to select, then click on N223MP lower down again to bring up my track.

Under “Quick Links” click “Map”.  On the left, click the right-pointing arrow beside “USA” (you may have to click the arrow to get the left column to appear). A list of flying sites with current active glider activities will show up.  Click the right-pointing arrow beside the flying site of interest.  A list of gliders currently flying out of that site will be shown, as well as a real-time map of the flights and flags showing the current position of each glider.  Click a Contest Identification (mine is J6) to highlight that flight.  Note that units shown in the barograph (altitude above sea level) window and also any dials are in Metric units (meters and kilometers per hour).  Multiply meters times 3 to get the approximate altitude in feet. Multiply kilometers per hour by 0.5 to get knots, or by 0.6 to get miles per hour.  Put your cursor over the barograph window, click and hold down and sweep back and forth to watch the past progress of the flight.  Note that at the bottom of the window, you can click on the left or right arrows to go to different days.
